About this project:
The main goal of this project is to develop the infrastructure for a self-sustaining and growing “hub” for research on college student mental health. This hub would be at the center of an international network of institutions of higher education (IHEs) and leading researchers and organizations invested in college student mental health. At present University of Michigan has a rich array of innovative research projects in this area. There is no infrastructure—particularly dedicated, continuous research staff members—by which to synthesize these projects into a greater whole. This hub would focus on three main objectives: 1) production of knowledge (research); 2) distribution of knowledge (dissemination); and 3) building and strengthening an international network (collaboration). Seed money through MCubed will support development of a robust infrastructure capable of further independent growth and development through major center/program grants and user fees (e.g., for providing data and technical assistance to IHEs).
