Using the Immune System to Target Drugs for the Treatment of Lung Diseases

Clofazimine is an anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory and redox active antibiotic. Clofazimine is the most potent, cell type-specific, subcellular-targeting compound known. This project proposes to employ the immune system and drugs known to accumulate in immune cells to develop new and innovative therapies for lung diseases.
