Short bio: 

Dr. Inohara received and M.S. in 1988 and Ph.D. in 1991 from Osaka University (Japan). He served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at Jichi Medical School (Japan) for the period 1991-1994. In 1995, he was appointed Assistant Professor, Department of Biochemistry, Institute of Gerontology at Nippon Medical School. He received the Predoctoral scholarship from Nippon Ikueikai (Japan) for the period 1988-1991. Dr. Inohara is a member of the Japanese Biochemical Sociey and the American Society for Cell Biology.

In 1998, he joined the faculty of the Department of Pathology as Assistant Research Scientist. In September 2004, Dr. Inohara was promoted to the rank of Research Associate Professor.

Research summary: 

Dr. Inohara's research interests include the study of proteins involved in mucosal immunity of the gastrointestinal tract, especially those involved in Crohn's disease.
