Single cell resolution evaluation of adipose tissue remodeling
Adipose tissue is a critical regulator of nutrient availability in physiologic and pathophysiologic conditions. Adipose tissue stromal cells and adipocytes contribute to the array of functions of adipose tissue that include lipolysis, lipogenesis, glucose uptake, and inflammation regulation. Single cell resolution approaches to adipose tissue composition are in their infancy and there is a need to form multidisciplinary teams to come up with novel tools and approaches to understand adipose tissue biology. This project will facilitate a new collaboration between established labs to identify new approaches and concepts in single cell resolution analysis of adipose tissue cells.
