I have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. In 2011, I joined the Department of Biomedical Engineering at King's College London as Associate Professor (Senior Lecturer).
In May 2014, I moved back to the States to the University of Michigan, where I am the Edward B. Diethrich associate professor of Surgery and Biomedical Engineering.
My current work is focused in the following areas:
- Computational methods to model blood flow, including: Fluid-Solid Interaction techniques, Boundary Conditions and Image-based Modeling.
- Fluid-Solid-Growth algorithms to describe stress-mediated growth and adaptation of blood vessels.
- Computational methods for assessing the stability of thoracic and abdominal endografts.
- Pathophysiology of hypertension and aortic dissection.
