Dr. Jiang was a teaching fellow for undergraduate and graduate nursing courses with a focus on Nursing Informatics. She designed and developed a 7-week online graduate level Nursing Informatics course on Method in Technology Evaluation & Usability at the University of Pittsburgh. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh in 2015.
Dr. Jiang’s research focuses on informatics- and data-driven solutions for self-management of chronic conditions, including but not limited to cancer. She is interested in discovering consumer health behavior patterns from data, and developing information technology-based support for health self-management. Her previous research focused on patients’ use of mobile technology for health self-monitoring and decision support. Her current study is to explore the complex relationships among adherence to oral oncolytics, the development and severity of side effects, and self-management strategies.
