I am a physician researcher at the University of Michigan Medical School interested in improving patient care through technology. I study emerging technologies such as natural language processing to predict clinical outcomes using high-dimensional statistical analysis and machine learning. I also have an interest in mobile and wearable technologies. My research goals for the future include the development of algorithms and pipelines that allow physicians to take findings from high-dimensional data from the bench to the bedside. Previously, I was a chief resident in internal medicine at UCLA Medical Center before becoming a nephrology fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and biomedical informatics postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Medical School.
