Zhi Zhang received her Ph.D. in biology/neuroscience from Wesleyan University; her M.S. in molecular neurobiology from the Beijing Institute of Neuroscience/Beijing Center for Neural Regeneration and Repairing; and her M.D. in clinical medicine from Capital Medical University in Beijing, China.
Dr. Zhang’s interests include neuroinflammation and glutamate excitotoxicity in neurological disorders. She uses animal models as a tool to evaluate the efficacy of nanotechnology guided drug therapies, such as anti-inflammatory drug conjugates, on the long-term survival and cognitive improvement.
